Fast commercial clarity—available now

Good Enough. Without the usual wait.

Good Enough is moving up the food chain. AI does not need to be as good as the best human. In fact, it does not need to be as good as any human - although it will often be better. It just needs to be Good Enough to do what you, the client, want it to do. And we are well on the way to getting there. So I am putting my money where my mouth is. Test me. See whether the AI alternative is Good Enough for the job you need done.

There is never a charge for getting started. Create your private workspace, add the relevant documents and choose one or two for the automated first look. Please do not email documents.

There is never a charge for getting started

Start by sharing what you want to achieve.

Define the outcome first: what must you protect, where can you trade, and should your opening position feel collaborative, firm or deliberately ambitious? Add the documents in your private workspace, and let the review test whether the paper moves you towards that result.

Putting my money where my mouth is

A warning is more useful when you are willing to test it.

On LinkedIn and through FactsAreFriends, I have argued that the legal profession is asking the wrong question about AI. The question is not whether a machine can reproduce every part of a senior solicitor's judgement. You don't need that for every document you sign. You want advice that is good enough, fairly priced and quickly available. And that is what I am offering here.

You want a reliable explanation, the important commercial points brought to the surface and a clear view of what deserves further attention. If AI can provide that quickly and at a price the client can justify, it has crossed the threshold that matters.

This website gives you the choice: instruct a law firm, or start with a commercial “heads up”. You may still decide to appoint a lawyer. If you do, we can help you turn what you have told us into focused commercial instructions, so your solicitor can get to the point more efficiently. If you do not already have one, we can help you identify and approach an appropriate firm. Or you can try the AI-led alternative first. It is also a useful starting point for people who might otherwise do nothing at all. The AI does the first pass. Four decades of commercial experience provide the human layer where it adds value.

The threshold

Excellence is not the disruption test. Sufficiency is.

Clear

Routine work is exposed first.

Reading, comparing, summarising and identifying recurring commercial issues are structured tasks. AI can already do a useful first pass across much of that work.

Check

Good enough is not the same as infallible.

An output can be incomplete or wrong. Sources, context and consequences still matter. The honest response is to expose the limits, not pretend they have disappeared.

Watch

Value moves to the difficult edge.

Judgement, negotiation, reassurance and accountability remain valuable. The routine layer beneath them is becoming faster, cheaper and harder to charge for by the hour.

The consumption paradox

More legal service. Fewer lawyers in the chain.

The optimistic account says that AI lowers cost, lower cost expands access and expanded access grows the legal market. That may be true. But it does not follow that the additional work will be consumed through law firms.

Once an AI system is good enough, a business can do more work internally. An individual can self-serve. A commercial team can begin with the source material rather than paying an intermediary to translate it. Demand does not simply disappear. It moves.

That is the consumption paradox: people may consume more legal capability while using fewer lawyers to obtain it. The work becomes easier to access at the same moment that the traditional supplier becomes less necessary for each task.

Where this service fits

A first commercial map, not a claim to perfection.

Good Enough Law does not try to replace a specialist on a novel question or a transaction where the consequences demand regulated legal advice. It starts with the more practical question: what do you need to understand before you decide what to do next?

A free first look brings a few real issues into view. If a fuller commercial map would help, the scope and price are agreed up front. If the document needs an SRA-authorised law firm, the right answer is to say so.

L5 Executive Services Limited is not an SRA-authorised law firm. The service does not provide regulated legal advice or reserved legal activities.

When a law firm is the right next step

Arrive with the issue already in focus.

Sometimes the right answer is regulated legal advice. After you have paid for a Good Enough Law review, you can ask me to help you approach an appropriate SRA-authorised law firm with the issues already identified, a focused briefing and an organised document handover. That can make the appointment quicker and help the firm concentrate its time on what matters.

01

You choose the route.

You can ask for an introduction, choose a different firm or make your own appointment. A referral never guarantees that a firm will accept the matter.

02

I prepare the briefing.

I turn what you have told me and the commercial issues already identified into a concise briefing for the firm, so the conversation does not have to begin with a blank sheet.

03

The documents move securely.

Selected documents are transferred only after the firm has agreed to act, completed its conflicts, identity and onboarding checks and you have expressly authorised the transfer.

For paid review clients

Briefing and secure handover

Available after the initial paid review. The law firm's own charges are separate and will be agreed directly with you.

£10

The £10 price is VAT inclusive. L5 Executive Services Limited may also receive a referral fee from a firm to which you are introduced. If it does, the existence and basis of that arrangement will be disclosed before you agree to the introduction. You remain free to choose another firm or approach one directly. This referral route will open only when the secure workspace and controlled transfer process are operational.

A separate lawyer-ready briefing

Organise the facts and shape your instructions

If you do not want a commercial assessment, I can receive the documents, summarise what they say and work with you to turn your objectives, priorities and negotiating stance into a concise set of commercial instructions for your chosen lawyer. Secure transfer follows only after the firm has onboarded you and you have approved what will be shared.

This service organises information and instructions. It does not include a commercial assessment, document review or legal advice. The lawyer's own charges are separate.
